More than a fruit, the AçaÍ has been a cultural manifestation of Amazonia for centuries. Each year in the State of Pará, communities get activated with the spring arrival, because of the AçaÍ harvest time. Men climb at the top of these fine and elegant palms, pick the ripe bunches with delicacy, and then transport them in huge traditional baskets. Loaded on boats, these baskets filled with fruits go down the River to the port of Ver-o-Peso, Belem, known for its typical market. On-site, it's the excitement, all people rejoicing and celebrating the arrival of this new crop, full of promises...
The AçaÍ berry is grown in Amazonia by 27 families from the Cofruta community. The culture of the AçaÍ enables to preserve local species, thanks to a sustainable forest management encouraging biodiversity.

THE VIRTUES OF AÇAÍ

Appreciated for its dark colour, so special, the AçaÍ also has many virtues for the body: antioxidants, A, B1, B2, C and E vitamins as well as minerals (iron, manganese, potassium). This berry is a true source of energy.. Finally, AçaÍ oil, extracted from the berries, brings softness and hydration to the skin thanks to its emollient properties.
