Native to the Amazon, the Murumuru palm has a menacing appearance with a trunk covered with thorns. The communities therefore wait for the ripe fruit to fall to the ground before harvesting it. The rich pulp of the fruit feeds the animals of the forest and the seeds of the fruit contain an extraordinary yellow butter which has immense benefits in repairing dry or damaged hair.
