Natura Brasil develops and markets face care, body and hair care products by attaching particular importance to the impact of its activity on the planet. The sustainable extraction of ingredients of Brazilian biodiversity, the revegetation of the products, or the reduction of the environmental impact of packaging, are examples of actions to always do more to respect the environment. But our work does not stop there: we are interested also to issues related to the sustainable use of energy and water.

We follow the water consumption in all stages of our chain of production as well as for our suppliers. Our effluent treatment has always been a priority in our operations and, in 2000, with the opening of our factory in Cajamar (SP), we have gradually implemented innovative technologies for the treatment of effluents.
In 2013, we tested four methodologies to diagnose our water consumption, but also the impact of our consumption and its ecotoxicity on local, in order to put solutions in place.
In our Ecoparc, located in Benevides (PA) we have implemented filtering gardens, and we don't use chemicals in the treatment of wastewater. Instead, we use plants whose roots have bacteria which decompose pollutants, thus contributing to the improvement of the quality of the water.
